WD SmartWare Fix
If you have some Western Digital MyPassport drives, the extra firmware "drives" they add to your drive list can drive you crazy. Luckily, there's a simple fix for this in Windows:
- Go to Start→Run (or click Start if running Windows 7 or Vista) and type
compmgmt.msc - Click Disk Management
- Right-click the WD SmartWare drive and choose Change Drive Letter and Paths
- Click the Remove button
- You're done!
